Ladies how long would you not talk to a guy that hurt your feelings?
I recently got upset with a girl and said some mean things. She hurt my feelings really bad and I got the little kid attitude like if you hurt my feelings I will hurt yours. I didnt curse her out but I do believe I hurt her feelings even though she will not show it. I think she really liked me and maybe thats the reason why she is ignoring me. She has ignored me for one day so far. I have apologized to the best of my abilities but she wont hear me. So how long do you think it will take for her to forgive me ladies? Please no you ought to be ashamed of yourself stuff..Im already feeling really bad about it.

just be a sweetheart to her. and give her a compliment or two
but don’t make it look like you are trying to hard.
and don’t play with her emotions.
soccerluver | Feb 08, 2010

I’m not a lady, but you just have to be honest with her and apologize. If she won’t hear you out, she may not be ready, but that is her decision. Give her time to cool down and make it right. Whether or not you can start a new relationship with her in the future is a different issue, but you do need to make sure that you don’t leave her with hard feelings.
freakingflippingduck | Feb 08, 2010

For me, it would depend entirely on how badly he hurt my feelings, and exactly what he said.

I am a pretty rational person, though, so it would take something pretty serious for my to ignore a guy over. I am really sensitive- i get hurt easily, but I will realize that I shouldn’t be upset about certain things, and if that’s the case, then I just pretend that I am not upset. If it is something serious, like telling me how ugly and fat I am, and how horrible my personality is, and how I’m not even half as intelligent as I think then I would probably disown that guy. If he just said something along the lines of "you’re being a b*tch. Stop being so crazy" then I would forgive him instantly, as long as he was right. If not, it would take a couple of days.

So it really just depends on her, how sensitive she is, how rational she is, and what you said to her that hurt her.

If she really likes you, and you didn’t say something absolutely reprehensible, then don’t worry about it. Apologize a bit more, buy her flowers if it’s that important to you, and then she’ll get over it.
holymell | Feb 08, 2010

well, with me, i usually can’t stand to not talk to some i like for more then a day. it gets to my nerve and i just need to talk to them. it basically depends what all happened. but give her a little while to cool off. she will realize that this is just a minor glitch in the road, if she really does care about you, either way, she will realize. so give you a week tops. and it should be fine. if she still hasn’t spoken with you, talk to her, and tell her, how much you care about her, (if you do) and so on.

Plot: A dark tale based on the true story of Aileen Wuornos, one of America’s first female serial killers. Wuornos had a difficult and cruel childhood plagued by abuse and drug use in Michigan. She became a prostitute by the age of thirteen, the same year she became pregnant. She eventually moved to Florida where she began earning a living as a highway prostitute—servicing the desires of semi-truck drivers. The tale focuses on the nine month period between 1989 and 1990, during which Wuornos had a lesbian relationship with a woman named Selby. And during that very same time, she also began murdering her clientele in order to get money without using sex. This turned the tables on a rather common phenomena of female highway prostitutes being the victims of serial killers—instead Wuornos, herself, carried out the deeds of a cold-blooded killer.

Dana, who is now the divorced mother of an 8-month-old baby named Oscar, works in the restoration department at the Manhattan Museum of Art. Strange things start happening when Oscar’s baby carriage takes off by itself with Oscar in it, and it stops in the middle of 1st Avenue. While Dana’s boss, Janosz Poha, is restoring a painting of a 16th-century tyrant named Vigo Von Homburg Deutschendorf, the painting comes to life. Vigo wants to live again by taking over Oscar’s body. Vigo takes complete control of Janosz and orders Janosz to get Dana to cooperate. Janosz also has his own agenda. He wants Dana because he’s in love with her. When Peter, Ray, and Egon try to help Dana, they are arrested and put on trial for violating the restraining order. When the ghosts of the killer Scoleri Brothers show up at the court room, the judge is forced to remove the restraining order against the guys so they can put the Scoleri Brothers in a ghost trap. After this, Peter, Ray, Egon, and Winston re-open Ghostbusters, and mayor’s assistant Jack Hardemeyer tries to slow them down any way he can, because he believes the Ghostbusters are frauds who will hurt the mayor’s chances of becoming the governor of New York. The Ghostbusters and their lawyer, Louis Tully, refuse to be stopped by Jack. When Jack has the Ghostbusters put in the Parkview mental hospital, there is an eclipse and Janosz kidnaps Oscar for Vigo. The mayor wants the Ghostbusters on the job, and when the mayor hears that Jack had the Ghostbusters put in the Parkview mental hospital, he fires Jack and has the Ghostbusters released to try to rescue Oscar from Vigo, and Vigo intends to make it as hard as possible for the Ghostbusters.

has New York improved since the 1970's?
Is there still lots of crime in New York ?

1. muggings / killings in central park
2. prostitution
3. ghettos
4. gangs
5. prostitution
6. drug dealing
7. garbage all over Park Avenue

I visted New York last summer. I was stranded there and I had to spend the night at a hotel. The food in the hotel was expensive ($50 for 3 hamburgers). And the hotel room was freezing cold.

A cab driver took me for a drive around New York. It was during the evening. I saw Times Square all lighted up. The saw the Brooklyn Bridge , the Empire State Building , where 9/11 happened, Statue of Liberty , etc I paid the cab driver $100. He really wanted $110.

I took some pictures , but not many turrned out. Pictures were too dark. I’ll probably never visit New York again in my life. I’m not rich enough to travel often. I visited Palermo , Sicily last summer. It was beautiful there. I missed my plane and there were no flights available back home. That’s my reason for being in New York. I visted New York by accident.

I saw New York in movies , but I never dreamed of visisiting it. In the movies , New York is shown as a city with bad neighborhoods , crime , etc

 You mentioned prostitution twice

You visited last yeqr and you ask about the 1970’s. I don’t understand.

The city is much improved since then, Muggings happen in Central Park occasionally, but they go down without violence usually. I don’t think that there has been a killing there in a while.

Street prostitution still exists, but it is way down from where it was. I think thta the internet had a lot to do with that. And stepped up enforcement.

Ghettos are less. The city has changed their basic urban renewal concept emphasizing low density occupant-owner situations above large scale housing projects. It is more manageable for them and a better neighborhood as a result.

Gangs are less. During the ’70’s they were everywhere, mostly but not exclusively black and latino groups.

Drug dealing is less obvious thabn it was, but I am sure that it is still a big problem.

And Park Avenue is clean, as I always remember it being.

I am sorry that you had a bad experience here, but I assure you that it is not typical. Plan a trip here and you will see it in a much better light. $50 for three burgers is ridiculous unless they were great. With all the trimmings and beverage, too. Sightseeing is best done on your own, Much cheaper that way, too.

Plan a trip. Stop by here for advice first.

New York city is the most Beautiful place on earth and it is one of the safest major city’s in the country.

if you ever make it back check out park slope ( neighborhood of Brooklyn) and greenwich village ( area of Manhattan)
The East Cost overdose | Jan 23, 2010

It has change a lot since the 1970s. The crime rate is down, Times Square is cleaned up, even Park Avenue is once again a Grand Boulevard.

Good luck
I know someone who went to a posh upper East Side restaurant. Dinner for two cost $850 plus tip. Some say it was a crime.
I moved to NYC in 1977 – I was not quite 18. I remember the late 70s very well. I still live in NYC today.

First of all, there was NEVER garbage all over Park Avenue! There were garbage strikes, sure, during which bags of garbage piled up for a few weeks. But it is not as you describe it. Doormen piled them up! And it didn’t go on forever.

Yes, there was drug dealing and prostitution in parts of the City, and NYC was far more dangerous back then. But it didn’t effect how I lived my life much. Okay, I was much less likely to want to go to certain parts of town, particularly after dark. But I went out, I rode the subways, I enjoyed the City. (And I ignored the guys who whispered "Blue smoke" and "loose joints" as I walked past them in Washington Square Park.)

But there were good things about the City then, too. It was MUCH cheaper to live here. Subways were half fare on Sundays. A student or an artist or performer could afford to live in Manhattan. There were quirky little shops that had individual personalities to them.

Some things have changed and you got me if it’s better or worse. Times Square is a good example. Times Square in the 70s was a horror! Prostitution and crime were a part of the scene in Times Square back then. I’d leave a Broadway play (which I could afford to go to back then, because tickets were so much cheaper, btw) at 11 pm and RUSH to the subway to get out of that area! But today, it’s MUCH safer and cleaner and all…but I’m not sure it’s better! It’s really artificial and not at all like NYC! I hate the new Times Square. But then again, the old one was just awful as well.
LJ | Jan 23, 2010

Why did you compare it to the 1970s?

I lived in New York city then and have been told it is much better since then.

You wont see the headline in the Daily News – "Obama to New York: Drop Dead".

Needle Park near W. 72nd St. subway station, near the Astoria Apartments.

There were drug addicts in Bryant Park.

I experienced a garbage strike, a transit strike and a blackout.and Elvis death.

John Lennon’s vigil outside the Dakota that night.

The LL train still had some cars with leather straps.

Ohrbachs, Gimbels, Korvettes and Alexanders.

Bella Abzug’s crazy hats. Abe Beam was mayor then Ed Koch: "How am I doin’"

I saw famous people, Jackie Onassis, Beverly Sills, Pope John Paul.

BMCC in Times Square next to Tango Palace dance hall. Elevators not running, no heat in winter. Wonderful.

No parking, slipping on icy streets, Sabrett hot dogs, Fox’s U-bet, Newsday, CP Zoo, the Bowery hobos, the Chelsea Hotel, Donnell Library, Ray’s Pizza, Chock Full o’Nuts, Nedick’s hot dogs, White Castle hamburgers.

I love New York.
However, Sophie agrees to stay and try to find out about the contract through other ways. Nuke a bag of popcorn, drizzle some melted real butter over it, get the adult beverage of my choice or whatever’s in the house (kettel one over rocks is preferred) and get out my collection of 50s horror flicks. Carnival of Souls, The original Night of the Living Dead and then the old Vampire movies too numerous to mention. Ahhhh what a fun day!

Takes my mind off the world and the fact that 15 Home Depot stores are closing and more unemployed. Sorry for the downer.

The girls’ paths are fated to cross when Princess Anneliese is captured and Erika, her look-alike, must try to save her. Can Erika pretend to be the Princess and foil her captor, the evil Preminger? And what of the handsome King Dominick, who falls in love with Erika, mistaking her for Princess Anneliese?
How do you like this Idea for my kids' 6th birthday party?
My kids are turning 6 on Valentines’ Day. Good thing that’s a saturday, lol. So, i was planning:

- Tricking them into a surprise party. I’ll say we’re going to the store, and say " Do you want to go look in chuckie cheese?" and when they walk in , Family and friends will be there. There are going to be a total of 20 people. 10 friends for each of them ( 5 for the girl, 5 for the boy) and the rest is family. After the party each of the friends will come home w/ us and we’re going to have a sleep-over. I was thinking having seperate rooms for the boys & girls. For the girls:( I’m going to be with the girls)
- Showing the movies " Barbie as the princess and the Pauper" and "Cinderella". I’ll serve Juice boxes, popcorn, celery & ranch dip, and carrots & dip.Afterwards, i’ll put little nail polishes out and they can paint eachothers nails. Then, we’ll open the gifts from everyone and then we’ll pull out their favorite, Barbie dolls. Then it’s off to bed and i will read them The little mermaid book.
-For the boys:( My husbands going to be with the boys)
Show the movies "Shrek" and " Spiderman:The cartoon". They’ll get to eat Popcorn,Celery,Carrots,Dip,And juice boxes. After, he’ll open presents from everyone, Then they’ll each get to play with Hot wheels, and action figures. Then it’s off to bed with a story for the boys (Spiderman book.)

What do you think?

Good Luck with that. I would not wish a sleepover with 10 five year olds on anyone. I think that it is too young for that big of a sleepover (and as a parent, I doubt that I would allow my child to go to any sleepover with kids of the opposite sex there, even at age 5).

You should consider doing the sleepovers on separate days. One weekend for the boys, another weekend for the girls. It will be a LOT less hectic that way since I can’t imagine that you would ever manage to keep them totally separated in different rooms.

Sounds fantastic except for the nail polish part. Could get quite messy.
sounds fantastic! Nothing wrong with it except the nail polish. Since they’re turning 6 it could be a mess and toxic?
