Milk – DivX Version (Normal Quality), iPod/iPhone Version, HD Ready:720p (Super Quality)
|
IMDB rating: 8.00 Plot: Using flashbacks from a statement recorded late in life and archival footage for atmosphere, this film traces Harvey Milk’s career from his 40th birthday to his death. He leaves the closet and New York, opens a camera shop that becomes the salon for San Francisco’s growing gay community, and organizes gays’ purchasing power to build political alliances. He runs for office with lover Scott Smith as his campaign manager. Victory finally comes on the same day Dan White wins in the city’s conservative district. The rest of the film sketches Milk’s relationship with White and the 1978 fight against a statewide initiative to bar gays and their supporters from public school jobs. |

I don't know why I'm writing about Spring in Autumn.. but er.. Enjoy, rate, be merry
?
Silver Bells Of Spring
A dozen star studded, silver bells. Bound in threads from harp’s gold string,
Tinkling sweet upon lily petal toes, a chortling cry to voice her merry step.
Rattling beads that chime in moon crusted orbs, the cold embrace of sickle spring,
A gush of elven, ribbon tongue, threads of water to echo cool in the beck.
Stamping joyous, her milkweed heels, curved as the sun upon verdant moss,
Merrily, merrily, stamping Winter beneath the earth, to sail swift as sound-
To sail away where the sun shall freeze, a willow curve of ice struck milk, across-
Four tepid shades, God’s thought passages. Dew, sand, fire and ice.
An Earth thick cloak that decks the ground.
Limp, clover cloth, torn and bound across a curled collar bone,
Lady Greensleeves, in Scarborough Fair… prancing over the new born hills.
A peach dusted butterfly with shredded wings, a nimble dance, not to be flown,
Midnight moth, butterfly dawn, dabbing at the pollen upon her zigzag frills.
The sky imbues a dot of scar split blood,
The sun bulges as a casement of flame.
Bursting. It flows across the clouds, a scarlet flood,
Breaking against it’s tightened skin-
Upon sky and earth, Spring’s crimson claim.
The wildest fantasy is here in flesh. Passing in the subtle quiet over tepid falling icicles,
Spearing the moss padded ground, crumbling into a flounce of crystal brook.
Spring arises in the clamour of ice, a fall of pollen in the storm, the first of four year fickles,
Lady Greensleeves, in Scarborough Fair. The prologue in Earth’s story book.
